Tank Driving Scotland : Military Themed Experiences

This fathers day, we decided to invite both of our parents out for a driving experience on the tanks.  This wasn’t just to save money on a gift – we knew they would love it!  What would have been a good idea, is if Rod had actually told his parents that he was showing them a tank prior to them coming out to drive!  I think they got the shock of their lives!  They both turned up, dressed for a Sunday lunch at Auchterhouse’s restaurant – Ann had lovely patent shoes on – see attached!  After the initial shock, both Ann and Roy got stuck into driving the tank and had a fabulous day.

Allan, being ex military, was the nightmare driver we always dread coming to Tank Driving Scotland.  You’re not in the war now Sir!  The words ‘slow down’ apparently mean nothing to Allan – who bombed around the course over 6ft inclines like he was being chased by a weapon of mass destruction.   Elaine on the other hand was too frightened to actually get into the drivers seat.  Rod took control and she stood out of the commanders hatch while he drove the course.  She had an amazing time and was desperate to go round again!
